Kickserv has become an essential tool for businesses in various industries, providing a range of features to streamline operations and improve customer service. Users rely on Kickserv to store client information, create estimates, work orders, and invoices, and process payments. With the mobile app, technicians can efficiently complete work orders on-site, uploading photos and collecting client agreements and job satisfaction feedback.

Clients greatly appreciate the convenience provided by the online client portal, which allows them to approve estimates, request modifications, access past jobs and photos, and make payments at any time. Realtor clients find value in using Kickserv to share repair requests with their clients and other agents involved in real estate transactions. The CRM capabilities of Kickserv are highly valued by businesses, generating estimates, work orders, invoices, and receipts while managing jobs and credit card transactions.

Customization options allow users to tailor the software to their specific needs. Dispatching is easy to use for customer service staff, ensuring efficient scheduling and keeping technicians informed of daily activities and changes through the mobile app. Kickserv has been successfully implemented by various businesses, such as a natural stone countertop distributor and installer who experienced improvements in processes, communication, vendor management, installation, and task scheduling. The digital signing and payment features have reduced purchase friction and improved the overall customer experience for this company.

Users across different roles within organizations benefit from Kickserv's functionality. Field technicians can easily input new customers on-site or send requests to office staff. Salespeople can quickly create estimates to secure new projects. The integration with QuickBooks Online enhances the CRM capabilities of Kickserv by allowing users to track sales, technicians, and marketing efforts seamlessly.

The scheduling, dispatching, and billing features provided by Kickserv are immensely helpful to companies in various industries. Users have praised the ease of use combined with robust functionality at an affordable price point. Exceptional customer service further enhances the overall experience. HVAC service companies, in particular, have found Kickserv to be a valuable solution for their businesses.

Efficient Estimate Management: Several users have found the ability to send estimates to clients and have them reviewed and approved with a simple click to be essential and efficient. This feature saves time, improves communication, and streamlines the estimation process.

Secure Online Payments: Many users appreciate the secure online payment feature of Kickserv, which allows clients to pay their estimates directly from their invoices. This convenient feature enhances the client experience by providing a seamless payment process while ensuring security for both parties.

Cost-Effective Solution for Small Businesses: Some users have mentioned that Kickserv is a cost-effective option for small field service and construction companies. The software offers integrated credit card processing through Stripe, eliminating the need for separate payment gateways and reducing costs associated with payment processing.

Limited Functionality in Mobile App: Several users have expressed dissatisfaction with the mobile app, citing a lack of key functionalities such as the ability to capture signatures and mark jobs as complete.

Difficulty in Using Dispatch Mapping Module: Some users have found it challenging to use the dispatch mapping module when they have more than 7-8 field technicians.

Lack of Offline Capability: A common complaint among users is the software's dependency on a cell or Wi-Fi signal, making it difficult to use in areas with poor connectivity.

Users recommend taking advantage of the training offered by Kickserv to fully utilize all of its features. They also suggest signing up for a trial and going through a demo service to understand how effortless the software is. Kickserv is highly recommended for small businesses as it is easy to use, useful, and receptive. However, some users mention that the webpage can become unresponsive at times due to overloads. Users particularly appreciate Kickserv's accessibility and continuous improvement to adapt to their needs. The software is recommended for scheduling and tracking paperwork, although it may not be as user-friendly for field techs without sufficient training. Users suggest trying out Kickserv since there are many other companies offering similar products for more money. They believe Kickserv meets most requirements and express confidence that any minor issues will be resolved soon. The trial period is highly recommended to ensure that Kickserv fulfills all needs. Users find Kickserv perfect for businesses that schedule services for clients and helps keep track of service due dates. Another significant recommendation is to sync Kickserv with Quickbooks immediately and always create invoices and estimates from within the software. Users highly praise Kickserv's customer service and support, noting its accessibility and responsiveness. For a more user-friendly experience on mobile devices, users recommend getting the app. Overall, users are extremely satisfied with Kickserv, finding it worth the cost, especially for small customer-service oriented companies. They would recommend it to colleagues but are concerned it may become too popular. Lastly, users suggest that smaller businesses needing to organize 4 to 6 trucks can benefit greatly from using this product.

Kickserv is crucial at maintaining an accurate database of information on our clients that we service on a semi-annual basis. We are in the carpet, upholstery and water damage mitigation business. Dispatching is also very important and easy to use for our customer service staff. Kickserv also has a phenomenal mobile application that keeps our technicians aware of daily activities and changes that may occur. The app has many features such as the ability to keep a record of time for each project, as well as phone dialing and mapping capabilities.
  • Dispatch planning
  • Mobile applications for techs
  • Easy-to-use / Easy-to-learn cloud application
  • Customer service support is quick and easy
  • Integration with email marketing
  • Advanced searching capabilities (i.e. If I wanted to search for every job I did that had the words "water damage" in their descriptions).
  • More ability to customize templates (like adding additional artwork, pictures)
Kickserv is well suited for service-based businesses such as carpet cleaning, plumber, electrician, etc..... I am not knowledgeable in many other business types, but I would guess that Kickserv may not be a good match for a law firm, retailer (brick & mortar).
  • Dispatching
  • Scheduling
  • Workorder and invoicing generation
  • Growth of company - ability to do more jobs with organized systems
  • Less time wasted contacting crews and customers - Kickserv automates this!
  • We can charge more per job because of the professional looking invoices and online customer communications portal. We stand out from the competition.
Easier to use than Salesforce. More robust than Zoho. More functionality that is easier to learn than both.

We implemented the Kickserv solution at a natural stone countertop distributor and installer. They used the solution to digitize their processes and improve communication throughout their company. Vendor management, installation and task scheduling were all improved. They also used the digital signing and payment features to reduce purchase friction and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Quickbooks Desktop and Server integration.
  • Work task scheduling.
  • Digital signature and payment collection.
  • The templates that they have for invoices are not intuitive and need improvement/updating.
  • The way that multiple payments (down payment, then balance upon completion) are logged is NOT intuitive. We had to find a few workarounds to ensure the Quickbooks upload didn't mark the client as paid in full, even though they had only paid their down payment.
Kickserv is very well suited for companies looking to reduce their reliance on paper-based processes. They are very adept at helping their clients cut over from a paper invoices, spreadsheets and Google calendar into an all-inclusive environment which addresses nearly all of a small business's needs as it relates to digitizing their workflows: CRM and jobsite/work item management.
  • For companies in construction, worksite management, or piece-work or punch-list management needs who are currently running disparate, disconnected systems. Kickserv is among the best at getting them up to speed and running in an all-digital platform... fast.
From the high end, with all the "bells and whistles" to the low end, "build it yourself" systems. Kickserv simply offered the best ROI when considering onboarding and training time, QB integration, and improved customer experience. Kickserv brings a lot of professionalism right out of the box that you'd have to spend hours configuring and training on something else for.
Very good technical help. The team is well-versed in their product and what to look for, particularly when interacting with other software platforms. You nearly always get a live person when you call, and if you don't, they will return your call promptly. This is another factor in my client's decision to move forward with their solution.
It is intuitive enough, but there is some training that will be necessary because of a perceived redundancy within their workflow. It can be hard to distinguish which stage a customer is in (thus what the most important thing to be working on, if you are in sales, for instance) without some training.

We use KickServ (Formerly Service Sidekick) to house our client information, produce estimates/work-orders/invoices, process payments, produce marketing reports. Out techs use the mobile app out in the field to complete their work orders, upload photos, collect client agreement to change orders and job satisfaction. We could not run our business without it, and it gives us a clear edge. Or clients love the ability to approve the estimates and/or request estimate modifications at any time of the day. They also love the online client portal for housing their past jobs and job photos, and making payments (again any time of the day or night). Our Realtor clients value it for the ability to share with their clients and other agents involved in the real estate transaction when repairs have been requested.
  • The ability to send an estimate to a client that they can review and approve with the click of their mouse is essential
  • The ability for the client to securely pay their estimate right from within their invoice online is a huge hit
  • The ability for our staff to change an estimate and have it change dynamically for the client at their computer immediately is huge
  • The mobile app needs greater functionality, like signature capture ability and marking the job complete in both areas on the web-based platform (currently, does not mark the check mark as complete on the web)
  • The ability to insert additional labor or parts anywhere in the item list instead of having to add them at the end would be really great to keep things organized and clear for both our team and the clients
  • It would be really good if an authorized user could retroactively mark start and end times of a job (when a tech forgets to click start or complete out in the field)
We use KickServ for nearly every aspect of our operation and cannot think of a scenario when it is "inappropriate" or "less appropriate". It is the backbone of our operation and is used for everything from data gathering to estimates to invoices to payments and accounts receivables to reports to tracking to storage of photos and past invoices. Better searching abilities would be good instead of having to create tags for things we don't know we are going to need later.
  • The reporting (such as Marketing Source and Customer Marketing) has allowed us to know where marketing dollars are being best spent and to reallocate accordingly
  • Specifically being able to see what percentage of clients are Repeat Clients as opposed to new really helped our team's morale
  • It would however be a huge benefit if the system would automatically move where the client came from (YELP, GOOGLE, CLIENT REFERRAL, etc) to another field and change current source to REPEAT CLIENT when the client comes back
I don't remember what we tried out 8 years ago, but KickServ suited us the best and still does

We used the software across the whole organization. I used it on both sides. In the field, I used it to see what jobs I had and to get quotes for customers to let them know everything at the time of service. It was also good to keep track of your schedule and make changes as necessary. I also worked in the office on the other side where I would input new customers as well as send out new requests as they came in.
  • Organization - keeps everything organized nicely and has several different filters that you can use to view only the information you need.
  • Simple website - this was important because you want it to load quickly when you are in the office and on the road.
  • Database - keeps track of the things that you enter. This is nice when trying to get information on a product or a price when requested by the customer.
  • Availability - There were several times when the system was down during normal business hours. This was really frustrating as you could imagine.
  • Mobile App - This is something they had but did not put a lot of effort into it. While on the road most people would use the site on their phone and the app was missing several things and the mobile site through a browser could be hard to see.
The software is pretty reliable and self-explanatory. I think they need to work on making things more mobile friendly as people in the field are using this for up to several hours a day.
  • Less paperwork
  • Better organization
  • Timelier information for our customers
  • Less piled up work for later
It was pretty good. I think just the simplicity would make me choose this over something else that I have seen and used in the industry. I wish they would just address the issues noted.

Kickserv is our CRM and Field-service management platform. It generates our estimates/work orders/invoices/receipts, manages our jobs, runs our credit cards (at a very low rate). It has allowed us to grow and save money and time. Yes, there are a few aspects of the software that we had to customize or work around, but overall Kickserv has been a huge help.
  • Cheapest cloud-based SaaS CRM software I could find, but perfect for our small field service (small construction) company.
  • Kickserv has paid for itself with its low-rate integrated credit card processing through Stripe.
  • The price and capabilities perfect for our small field service company (3 office staff, 3 employees in the field, and a few subcontractors)
  • I love how the customer portal works.
  • It has saved us massive amounts of time and headache over our previous system.
  • I expect the dispatch/mapping module would be difficult to use with more than 7-8 field technicians
  • The API needs to be updated and documented (though I think I'm one of the very few people who use it)
  • There's no offline capability; field-techs have to have a cell or wifi signal to use it.
Perfect for Field-service companies (remodel, landscaping, lawn services, carpet cleaning, etc.) with about 2-20 employees and 1-10 job-sites per day.
  • Saved money and time on A/R, Invoicing, Dispatch, Estimating, and Credit Card Processing
  • Despite monthly fee, it has lowered our operating costs
We looked at 8 different systems. This system is perfect for our small construction company. Everything else was too expensive, or too simple, or too complex.

I use the API. Most companies probably won't need anyone in-house to support Kickserv
  • Estimates
  • A/R
  • Scheduling
  • Using API to automate piece-work subcontractor fees
  • The CC processing costs saved us more $ than we expected
  • We've been able to do things with the Sync between QB and KickServ that we didn't expect
  • We expect to implement more API functions
  • The new integrated marketing feature looks promising--though we're not using it yet
  • We will probably migrate to QBOE or Xero integration (currently integrating with QB Pro Desktop)
It's perfect for our company. We rely on it. Tech support is great. We're very happy.
Yes
Replaced a proprietary dBase database. We needed a cloud-based platform that integrated with QuickBooks
  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Positive Sales Experience with the Vendor
Price. Kickserv had most of what we needed at a great price. Since then (4 years ago) they have added features and made me even happier with my decision.
Not at all. I was as thorough as I could be, and I'm happy that I chose Kickserv.
